According to Chinese folklore, each year is named for one of twelve animals.  The Chinese say that the animal ruling the year you were born influences your personality and helps define your life.  Put the year of your birth in the box below and find out what animal is your Chinese Zodiac animal birth sign.

The order of the Chinese zodiac is:  Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig.  The legend is that this order was determined through a race in which the rat cheated by standing on the ox's head and jumping off ahead of him as they reached the finish line.
