Information about the Photographs

With the exception of the photograph of George W. Bush, the photographs of the American Presidents on the following pages were obtained on-line from the U.S. Library of Congress, Prints and Photographs Division:  "By Popular Demand: Portraits of the Presidents and First Ladies."  As of February 16, 2005, there was no official portrait of George W. Bush in the Library's on-line collection.  The photograph of the 43rd president was taken by Eric Draper, White House Photo Director and personal photographer for President George W. Bush.  This photograph is included here to complete the set of images.  Mr. Draper's photograph of President George W. Bush was altered by removing the color information to make it consistent with the other images contained herein.
